The replacement has been named and the head banging has begun. Don't get me wrong, it's exactly who I knew it would be and that isn't even the problem. The problem is the replacement is a member of the new regime. My direct boss and I are not. This was exactly why my old director left. She didn't care for the philosophy of the new regime. I am now being pulled like Gumby between my direct boss and my new director. Complicating things are the fact that I have worked for the new director before and I have a good working relationship with him. Don't get me wrong, I still don't care for the new regime and he certainly will maintain it, I just don't have a distaste for him personally as my direct boss does. All of this has caused me to feel like I am running into a brick wall every day at work. I am banging my head off of it.
